Review: 'Bombers'
'Film Fanatic EP'

-  Label: 'Dead London Records'
-  Genre: 'Punk/New Wave' -  Catalogue No: '31st October 2011'

Our Rating:
‘I can’t get any oxygen!’ gasps David Duell with a manic intonation as he lurches over a choppy, tripwire guitar line on lead track ‘Crush’. And yet he continues to expend whatever air he can get on spitting out the lyrics as though he’d rather expire than surrender.

Welcome to the world of Bombers, whose debut release – the ‘Film Fanatic EP’ is a burst of frenetic delirium that welds together the explosive hyperactivity of The Dead Kennedys with the shambolic angularity of early Fall .

Wild-eyed urgency takes priority over technical perfection to bring forth a five-tracker that lasts a fraction over ten minutes, it hits like a punch in the kisser, but is a lot more fun.
