Our Rating:
THE COLLECTABLE FEW, being a modern London based are made up of two school friends from London on bass and guitar plus a Drummer from Philadelphia and a Half Iraqi Half French Chef! Well the press Release doesn't say what Tarek Al Shammaa plays or sings just that he's a chef and lets face it every good band needs a chef - just ask Green On Red!

Well to be truly collectable this band will have to come up with better artwork than on the CD I have before me, but the music is pretty good. Model Behaviour has a good bass opening and sounds very 80's like a cross between Echo & The Bunnymen and Blancmange. It's pretty catchy and will certainly make lots of people sing along to it.

The B-side is a remix of Glamour by Cassetti who sounds like some sort of Italian ice cream who knocks the obvious 80's influences off of the tune and makes Glamour sound a bit more current. I have to say I much prefer the unremixed first tune. As retro as it might be in sound it needs to be heard a good few times and then it might be as memorable as well as collectable.
