Review: 'American Head Charge'
'Sugars of Someday'

-  Genre: 'Rock'

Our Rating:
Seven years is a long time to be away in the music biz, especially in these times of rapid change and increasingly short-term memory, which can broadly be attributed to memory overload. So returning from a period in the musical wilderness, American Head Charge unveil ‘Sugars of Someday’, forewarning that it’s something of a departure for them, and isn’t entirely representative of the forthcoming album.

With guitars that grind and fizz and a clean, crisp production, it’s the kind of radio-friendly industrial metal that proliferated in the 90s. But rather than sound dated, it serves as a reminder that perhaps the days before nu-metal and lamecore guff weren’t so bad. It’s obvious why they’ve chosen it as the lead single track.
