Klassikia - Sensual Guitar Chill Out EP – OUT NOW

Came across this little chill out EP the other day and wanted to share! It is the new creation by Richard Champan. He was trained at Trinity College Music under Gilbert Biberian and later Carlos Bonell, going on to play with musicians such as Julius Drake and the Gould Piano Trio.
Sensual Guitar Chill Out is a combination of pop/folk fused with the underlying classical technique and other elements: multi-tracking, electronic beats, percussion, Synth strings.
Freight Grain is the first track that he wrote off the 4 track EP, after he became frustrated with standard classical repertoire. It opens with a Spanish-style guitar riff, and then a lovely guitar melody plays over a slow rhythm evoking the freight train.
This is a fresh new approach and look at classical music, although I would have liked to have heard what effect (good/bad) a vocalist would have had. It is definitely a chilled cinematic EP that makes you really appreciate the truly gifted guitarist that is Richard.
